This place was unusually nice and the front desk people were very friendly, even at 1:00 a.m. close to when we arrived. Apparently it is run by the college and as part of their hospitality degree. Very well done.

I’ve been traveling for 3 weeks with my large dog. Lexi at the front desk really made our long evening from driving, great. She was attentive, helped find a solution to extend my stay, and provided my sweet girl Logan with a dog bed, treats, and a bowl for food and water. This place is great. The dining options upstairs and at the cafe were top-notch. Shoutout to the lovely girl with glasses at the cafe who brightened my day.

My parents were on a road trip on my dad’s birthday, and I called Hotel Maverick about an hour ahead of time to book them a room. Lexi made the remote booking process very easy, and her kindness and patience meant a lot. My parents were traveling with their dog, and the room came with a dog bed and other goodies. Lexi also had a birthday card waiting for my dad, and helped me set up a dinner reservation at Devils Kitchen. My parents had a great stay and said the food was delicious. Lexi, Hotel Maverick and Devils Kitchen really went above and beyond to help make the day special, and I can’t thank or recommend them enough.

This will be our 4th stay and it has been excellent every single time. We stumbled on this hotel when looking for a place to stay while on a road trip and it has become a staple whenever we come through grand junction. The best part of the stay is always the customer service. The students in the hospitality program run the hotel and they really put in their best effort. I would put the customer service up there with Ritz Carltons, St Regis, and other luxury hotels. The hotel offers so many extras that makes every stay fun and different. Like electric car charging, popcorn in the lobby, cafe with tasty food, chocolate in the room, and gym area just to name a few. They also have unique rooms that can fit a variety of needs. Like this stay we got a king bunk bed it was great and my two kids loved it. The restaurant on the top floor is also top notch absolutely delicious. Last positive the price is reasonable. I always recommend this hotel to anyone that is coming through here. Now it wouldn’t be a review without listing some negatives. The building/rooms looks nice but after getting up close they feel cheep and over time many things have started to break like the blinds, tiles in the bathroom and few other cosmetic items. I wouldn’t say any of these are deal breakers and are just nitpicking. Thank you to all the staff that makes this place so special. Every employee that I have interacted with has been amazing. I can’t sing the praises of this place enough. Keep up the good work.

We had a 3 day stay, Wed Sept 3 thru Sept 6. It was more than amazing. I booked on line, very easy. When I called the hotel for information, some nice person picked up on the 1st ring. No pushing buttons for departments. Later some very nice lady called to review my reservations. When I checked in, it was all smiles and nice people. Parking was free. Our room was absolutely beautiful. We brought our dog, Rudy, and they give a dog bed, bowls, snacks , and a bandana. They gave us a nice bottle of processco for our anniversary, 54 years. Free coffee was provided downstairs in the morning. Devils Kitchen, the hotels famous kitchen is located on the 4th floor. It was truly amazing. The staff made us feel right at home. The happy hour was amazing. The Tempura Deviled Eggs were one of the most incredible appetizers I have ever had. They serve awesome lunch daily and brunch on the weekend. Dinner was off the hook. Great quality and value. The scallops, steaks, grilled striped bass were just amazing. The Caprese Salad was one of the best I have had. We were so happy with our experience. The fresh popcorn in the lobby was a real treat. Thank you to all of staff at the Hotel Maverick. Hats off to the management, you have created a Hotel to be very proud of.

Outstanding friendly front desk staff (pretty sure they love their jobs)!! Nice to have a hotel room and not hear an interstate! Or to look out onto a shopping center! Room was very comfy (great bedding). Coffee / pastry shop on site. Devils Kitchen restaurant on 4th floor.

This hotel is FANTASTIC. I am a hotel snob. There are only three hotels in Utah I am happy staying at, one being the Grand America in Salt Lake. Hotel Maverik was BETTER than the Grand America. It was cleaner, the beds and bedding were more comfortable, and the employees were ten times friendlier. (I love the Grand America.) We traveled to Grand Junction for a concert and picked this place based on reviews. We were so pleased with our stay. The room was extremely clean, the grout in the bathroom was clean, the elevator was clean, the flooring was clean, the windows were clean, the toilet handle had even been cleaned. We HIGHLY recommend Hotel Maverik, times seven. PS I forgot my glasses. An employee called to tell me I forgot my glasses before I even knew they were missing. They offered to mail them to me and were incredibly friendly and helpful about doing so. Thank you so much. I couldn't be more happy about our stay.

We had lunch at The Devil’s Kitchen on the top of the hotel. Beautiful views, excellent food, fair prices, friendly service and free parking. The outside rooftop patio wasn’t available as they were decorating for the holidays but the entire experience was excellent! We didn’t stay at the hotel but one day we will, just for fun. The lobby is warm and inviting and would be a lovely spot to read a book.
